Thanks for the tips! I'm not sure what the best way is to SEND your demo. There is a lot going on in the music industry.

One of the most powerful ways of distribution of course is using 'the people'. Great quote from someone else: The people formerly known as the audience!

Maybe we should take the Darwinist approach; adapt and you will survive. So instead of resisting change and become extinct you want to embrace change. People are going to share music, so give them something to share!

Together with hundreds of musicians, songwriters (thousands soon) we are working on an initiative to facilitate musicians and songwriters to share some of their work. I am not sure if I am allowed to mention the name (it is not supposed to be spam) so feel free to remove this last line. If you and your friends are interested have a look at www.TribeofNoise.com

Sounds like some good tips. I'm very curious to hear if sending demos still works for musicians.

Hope musicians reading your article will comment.

If you want to share your song with musicians, fans and professionals in need for good music (filmmakers, game developers, videographers etc.) don't forget to join the Tribe.
