A blog about songwriting and about the songwriter Luigi Cappel

On my other blog, I wrote about my song Watch Me Daddy and how the song came about. I actually wrote it on the wrong blog, so if you are interested you can read it there. I noted that lots of people found that blog when they were search for songs about Daddy’s girl, or songs from dads or fathers to daughters.

I’m not a fulltime songwriter yet but working towards it and this song struck a chord and brought tears to many eyes. The thought of someone writing a song to the daughter is something special and possibly even more so, being the father who so often in this world doesn’t show emotion.

I’ve been thinking about offering this song to other people in a modified version as a song they can give to their daughter and seeing as people seem to be looking for something special like that, I’m going to put it out there and see if this is something special they would like to give to their daughter.

I’ve been thinking about different ways I could do this. Here are some of my ideas and I’d welcome your thoughts. If one of these sounds like that special gift for your daughter who has recently or is about to get married, drop me an email andwe can talk about it.

The first idea is that you could send me a bunch of photos by email and I can create a slide show that you can give her, as well as something you or she could put on YouTube.

Another option is to do the same, but burn both the song and the slide show onto a CD with her photo on the cover.

Another option which could combine the above is to modify some of the words, i.e. you can tell me some special things about your daughter and I can rewrite part of the song to make it truly personal.

This song came from the heart and your version would too, from your heart, via my talent as a songwriter. This would be something special and unique. Something of far greater value for her to cherish, than most gifts.

So what do you think? Are you looking for that special wedding gift? If you are send me an email and we can discuss it.
